Sea lion pups, Bucatini and Fusili, were rescued on December 30, 2021 by the Marine Mammal Center, both for maternal separation and malnutrition. Bucatini was found at Montara State Beach in San Mateo and Fusili was found in Ocean beach in San Francisco. They were successfully rehabilitated and eventually released on February 18, 2022 at Weston Beach at Point Lobos State Natural Reserve. This visual story gallery is part of a continuing series highlighting the work of staff and volunteers at the Marine Mammal Center.
